Displays
manufactured in metal are available in a number of finishes and vary greatly
in appearance. Besides silver (either satin or shiny chrome) there are
various gold finishes as well. These include displays constructed from
actual true brass and gold plating. Polished brass, being a copper alloy,
has a warmer (reddish) appearance while the titanium gold finish is more
olive (gold) in color.
Copper is one of the most widely used metals in the world. Unfortunately
the increase in industrial demand for copper throughout the world has
caused the price of copper to rise quickly. Prices of copper have risen
70% more than just a year ago. Brass, made of an alloy of copper and zinc,
is also subject to this increase in cost.
The titanium gold finish is chemically applied over the stainless steel
body panels before construction. The resulting color is not the same as
real brass, but costs about 1/3 less than real brass. The color of brass
finishes, commonly found advertised as gold or "brass" in the
marketplace, can vary widely. Most users will not notice or care about
the difference. If you are looking for a product built of actual brass
then these displays are not for you. If, however, a well-made display
from coated stainless steel with the appearance of polished brass at an
affordable price appeals to you then please consider our Titanium Gold
products. We will do all we can to achieve what our customers want at
an affordable price.
